Tinkertronics was born out of a passion for electronics and a belief that great tech shouldn't go to waste. Based in Bolton, we started with a simple idea — give people a reliable, honest, and affordable place to get their devices fixed without the hassle of big chain repair shops or lengthy turnaround times.

Today we specialise in mobile phone screen and battery replacements, with both OEM and aftermarket parts available to suit every budget. What sets us apart is our flexible service model — for straightforward repairs we come directly to you, getting your device back in your hands in as little as 20–30 minutes. For more complex faults, we collect your device, carry out a thorough diagnosis and repair in our workshop, and return it to you fully tested and ready to go.

But we're just getting started. Tinkertronics is growing, and our roadmap includes component-level PCB repairs, game console diagnostics and repairs, laptop servicing, and board-level fault tracing using professional equipment including soldering stations, rework tools, and microscopes. We don't just replace parts, we find and fix the root cause.

Beyond repairs, we're also developing our own range of practical electronic products. From environmental sensors and smart home devices to custom embedded systems built around microcontrollers such as the ATtiny, ATmega, and PIC series, we're designing and prototyping useful, everyday tech from the ground up, right here in Bolton.
